The Geelong Cricket Association (GCA) is the governing body for club cricket across the Geelong region and runs junior competitions at Under 11, 13, 15 and 17 for boys and Under 12, 15 and 18 for girls. New players usually begin with the Woolworths Cricket Blast, cricket Australias entry-level program for younger kids, before moving into age-group club teams. Through its member clubs the GCA gives Geelong children a structured pathway from their first hit to competitive weekend matches, with both boys and girls streams.
