GSODA Junior Players is one of Australia’s longest-running youth theatre companies, entertaining Geelong since 1965 and staging two full musical theatre productions a year — past shows include Shrek the Musical, The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast. Young performers aged 10–13 start in the annual Musical Theatre Workshop learning acting, singing and dance, then can audition for the Junior Players (open to teens up to 17), who attend 2–3 rehearsals a week mastering everything from vocals to staging and stagecraft. It is a wonderful, inclusive option for Geelong kids who love to perform and want serious theatre training.
