Eastern Park is home to the award-winning Geelong Play Space, an imaginative, fully fenced playground set in a leafy natural landscape beside the Geelong Botanic Gardens with views over Corio Bay. Kids can clamber over a pirate ship, cross a musical bridge, explore a bamboo tunnel and a colourful paver maze, splash at the hand pump and creek spring, and find sound machines and stepping stones scattered through the trees. Thoughtfully designed for all ages and abilities, it includes a Liberty swing for wheelchair users and has toilets nearby. With the Botanic Gardens, mineral springs and grassy picnic spots all around, it's one of Geelong's best free family days out.
