Geelong Martial Arts (GMA) is an inclusive, family-friendly gym in Moolap (just 5 minutes from the Geelong CBD) specialising in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Kyokushin Karate and Muay Thai for all ages from 3 years up. Little ones can start in the GMA Cubs parent-and-child program (ages 3-4), then progress to the Jaguars Kids BJJ and Lions Kids Karate programs for ages 5-12, with dedicated teen and adult classes too. Led by head coaches Steve Henderson (BJJ) and Lili Costa Henderson (kids BJJ and karate), the gym prides itself on a structured, best-practice teaching approach and a no-ego mat culture. Free or low-cost trial classes make it easy for kids to give martial arts a go.
